A new report from the African Development Bank (AfDB) has called for urgent action to end poverty and hunger in Africa.
The report, titled "The State of Poverty in Africa 2023: Ending Poverty and Hunger in a Changing World," found that poverty levels in Africa remain high, with 43% of the population living below the international poverty line of $1.90 per day.
The report also found that hunger is on the rise in Africa, with 281 million people facing chronic hunger in 2022.
